Dodital, 20th December to 24th December 2019
I did the Dodital and Dayara Bugyal trek with Rajesh and his team. We had a 11 yr old on this trek with us. Rajesh did an excellent job in supporting the little girl complete her first trek with confidence. Rajesh had made excellent arrangements for food. We had a new menu everyday. Ours was the first trek after heavy snow in the region and Rajesh and his team did an excellent job of opening the trek route for the season, through waist deep snow at some places.

Dodital, 20th December to 24th December 2019
Undertook a trek to Dodital, along with my 11 year old daughter, under the guidance and care of Rajesh Thakur. A trek which is marked "Easy - Moderate" in the summers, is the complete opposite in the winters. The challenges include freezing temperatures along with snow, waist deep at some places. Further, the path gets damaged at some places making some crossings outright dangerous. However, I think the whole experience was an awesome one with the planning and care of Rajesh and his team. Rajesh is extremely knowledgeable as far as trekking in these mountains is concerned. He kept a very close watch on how we were faring with this trek and ensured that we could keep up with the desired pace. The living arrangements and meals along the path had been very carefully planned, making the whole experience a pleasant one. It was a great sense of achievement to have been the first ones to have reached a frozen Dodital, pretty much on the 3rd day and having the complete path and lake to only ourselves! At the end of the trip, Rajesh made it a point to collect feedback about what we thought had gone well and what could be improved further. All in all, a great trek made extremely fulfilling by an excellent and able guide, Rajesh. Thank you Rajesh!

Dayara Bugyal, 24th December to 27th December 2019
After completing the Dodital, along with my 11 year old daughter, with Rajesh Thakur, we undertook another one to Dayara Bugyal. Again, it is a trek which is marked "Easy - Moderate" in the summers, but the complete opposite in the winters. The climb to Dayara Bugyal is much more steeper than Dodital and the snow, slippery path, and freezing temperatures added to our challenges. The elaborate planning and measured care that Rajesh undertook was chiefly instrumental for making this trek a super success! Since we were very keen to complete the trek in 2 days, it presented a big challenge for Rajesh and his team. This is because a part of the descent from the mountain had to be done in absolute dark! This was a key highlight of our trip. Descent on a slippery path, in the dark (headlamps on), in freezing temperatures, is not a trekker's fancy. However, with Rajesh's knowledge of the entire route, and with his planning and care, we were able to accomplish this in a very fulfilling way. And all this was done with my 11 year old daughter. I would highly recommend Rajesh Thakur for his skills and formal education as a guide. All in all, 2 trekking destinations in 7 days, was possible only because of his help! Thank you Rajesh!

Dodital, 29th October to 1st November 2016
In october-November 2016 we had a one month trip around India. During this trip we had a 4 days trek in the Utaraktan himalaya, with a very good guide Rajesh. We made the Dodital lac trek including the Darwa pass. We wormly recommend Rajesh guide, he totaly toke the best care of us, he knows very well the region and speak a good enghish. We took also 2 porters that were also very nice. Dodiral trek is beautifull we like it, may be other treks in this area are more beautifull, we don't know but rajesh can recommend. Note that most of the "guest houses" in this area are infested by rats! So it's much better to sleep outside in a tent! Our trek to Dodital was not too difficult but the day walk of Darwa pass demand much more effort and we had to sleep in a tent at the altitude of 3700m,it was about 7 degre below zero in the end of October.

A very polite, friendly team leader who makes somebody feel that he/she is as good or important in the team. My sincere thanks

Kedartal, 28th October to 2nd November 2020
A great experience at 15500 to 16000 ft with Rajesh bhai and his team. We were four trekers and I was the only lady member in the team but support , encouragement was there so that I can complete the trek. I appreciate and thank Rajesh bhai for his hand work, motivation and inspiration throughout the trek . I feel there is no doubt of completing trek , when one is with Rajesh bhai and team . Once again thank you !

Rajesh led us for this beautiful trek. He was very kind and polite, sometimes joking with us too. He was patient with our slow group and we enjoyed getting to know him too! He also has an eye for safety and is experienced enough to give advice on changes in plans. Nights were really chilly as the sleeping bags didn't seem to protect very well from cold. But rajesh's team was kind enough to lend us an extra blanket.

Had a wonderful trek at Gaumukh with Rajesh's team this year. Rajesh set a great pace with our relative unfitness and was flexible, adjusting the rest days to suit the team's needs. The weather was chilly (last few treks of the season) hence we stayed in a lodge for one of the nights. The accommodation and tents were otherwise fantastic. Would highly recommend for those who are climbing with older participants or have some physical limitations but still keen to explore and adventure!

Gaumukh Tapovan, 1st October 2019
My group of 5 went on a 6d5n trek to gaumukh tapovan with Rajesh and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He was a really chill guide and didnt rush us too much, also he was flexible in his planning and planned appropriately for the pace of our group along the way. Highly recommend going with him for this trek!

Gaumukh Tapovan, 1st September 2019
We did this trek in September 2019, the arrangement made by Rajesh was surprising to us as we have never thought of such arrangement of Food & camping. Rajesh is warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!), during the trek to all the members of group and his advice during the trek helped to complete our trek. Rajesh is good professional, caring and leader to lead the trek. He & his team listens to you and full fill your requirement or expectations as per camping. Our group of 8 members truly enjoyed the trek and completed safely. Many thanks Rajesh & team. Keep Smiling and KUDOS to you and your team. Arun

Dodital, 1st October 2018
We found Rajesh through Sherpafeet.com on the day before our trek to Doditaal. Rajesh was VERY knowledgeable, informative and clearly communicated us our options. We told him our budget (which wasn’t much) and yet he was able to offer us various options which ensured that our trek remained within budget. He also has very good local knowledge of the mountains, forest department formalities and of the local people and Rajesh very happily accommodated all our requests and changes throughout the trek. It was a great and smoothly executed trek – both in terms of time and money. Overall, a great trekking experience involving LOTS of chatting 😊. I definitely recommend Rajesh for treks in this region.

He is very caring and dependable. This was my first trek.. but he was so helpful that i never felt low. So my blessing to rajesh and his whole team. Looking forward to go for many more treks with you and your team.

Gaumukh Tapovan, 1st November 2018
Beautiful and wonderful people are guided to us and most sinsear wih cearfull leader for the trekkers and we are complete the gangotri -goumukh - tàpavon trek though Mr. Rajesh Thakur..... with proudly......

October end, an early winter, colder weather and lighter air to breathe. I was planning for Gangotri-Gaumukh-Tapovan and it happened so I first time discover Sherpafeet and Rajesh Thakur was recommended by the admin only. He was the only one got in touch with me, very promptly. Since the beginning he arranged everything, right from making permit, arranging car and driver for my nelong valley trip, which was not even his job. Rajesh is a happy go lucky guy. He knows how to make you laugh during the cold and hard climbs. He is honest. This journey became home for me, and all thanks to only and only Rajesh who clubbed my solo trip with a bong family and at the end I almost forgot I didn't belong to them. I realised, Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow. The most important thing is, the spirit, which I felt in this little hilly guy. He travels and he becomes.

Gaumukh Tapovan, 1st October 2018
Very well organised, honest, caring and takes perfect decisions. He provided us good Food, good Tents, Sleeping Bags and arranged Transport from Haridwar and back at a very reasonable rate. I would obviously think of him in next Treks.

Gaumukh Tapovan, 1st October 2018
We went on the Gaumukh-Gangotri-Tapovan with Rajesh Thakur and his team. The team led by him was very co-operative, sincere, sympathetic, honest and punctual. All the qualities of his team members has been acquired by the wise leadership of Rajesh Thakur.

Audens Col, 1st September 2018
We were fortunate to get Rajesh thakur as our guid on auden's col. we cant complete the trek due to adverse weather condition but the mountaineering spirit of him touched us. There is nothig to win but to lose our soul in mountain. we learnt it from him. Very encouraging personality with appropriate techinical skills and very good managing power made him special. At last he become a friend of us. who don't want to go to mountain with such friend.

Trek to Gomukh and then Tapovan from Gangotri, via Chirbasa and Bhujbasa in Garhwal Himalayas is always considered a bit challenging for the trekkers. One needs to be very much cautious and also requires constant assistance from trained guides. Fortunately we had with us - Rajesh, a trained climber as well as a diligent, responsible, meticulous, well-educated and witty companion whose motto is to let even the last one reach his destination safely. To cope pace with him on the stony, rugged and bouldered uphill climb is a unique experience. He must be acclaimed as the best guide for the trekkers to this way.

After few minutes of talking with him I felt as if I've known him for years, yes, he is that jolly, friendly and humble. Through out the trek he had been very much helpful and informative and witty as well. On our way back to Gangotri I was limping due to knee injury and Rajesh stayed all along with me and he not only gave me physical support but also helped me to keep my morale up. I'd definitely like to go to another trek with him and I wish him every success to all his future endeavor.

I remembered our Gomukh trek when just after crossing 4-5 k.m. I started to experience severe breathing problems. Rajesh Thakur was our guide. He took my load and boosted me with his inspiring words. I remember what he said, “No body comes 1st in trekking, Sir, one only has to complete it. My job is not only to reach to the destination but also to take you there.” This had given me strength. I reached Bhurjbasa at about 7:30 or 8:00 p.m. And most importantly from next day onwards those words of inspiration became my power of heart that helped me to complete the whole trek without trouble. I not only admire and adore this jubilant and witty fellow but also respect him for his vision of life. Thanks Rajesh for your help.

Rajesh is an educated, witty, skilled, friendly, jovial and inspiring guide. His company would make you fall in love all the more with trekking and the mountains. You would yearn to take him along with you in your next venture.

Rajesh is very dedicated to his job. You can trust him blindly as his only motto is to make you reach your destination crossing all impediments. Further his company is delightful and the service that he renders is beyond praise.

The sincere and genuine guy who can help you out in knowing the Himalayas. We did the Tapovan trek with his team and it's the most reliable with equipments, foods, arrangements and the money. And wish to work together for the Uttarakhand Himalayas together. Thank you so much for the support and the adventure of the lifetime. As we were in the mountains and now they are within us. Thank you Sherpafeet for the sharing the people like Rajesh Thakur.

I'm in touch with Rajesh since 2016 , and I can say from my feelings and little experience that he will not be your guide only but he will be your friend and climbing partner too. He will push you to your limit to achieve your goals but with full safety and professionalism.

Animal Pass, 1st September 2016
An excellent trek with an excellent man. Throughout the trek his professional approach and service. We pick him because in past his services were excellent; although this was not woth his agency. This was an exploration which requires courage to go to the uncharted areas. He has that courage in him. Go with him you can never let him go...

Young and enthusiastic. Helpful and friendly service and support for the entire time. Good behavior and manner that is the best way to get the most popular.

Dayara Bugyal, 1st October 2017
It was the first trek I that I planned with my fiancé, I was really worried about how things are gonna go but thanks to Mr Rajesh who was not just an amazing guide giving us all the required information about the trek but was also very caring taking in consideration our comfort and health. Doing the lamkhaga-pass-trek with Rajesh as the guide was an amazing experience. His knowledge about the trails and the technical expertise about all things trekking made it really easy to trek. You can always count on him on making the right decision in the mountains. Kudos Rajesh.

It was a short pilgrimage trip for me. As a guide, Rajesh knows his way around. He is very helpful and motivating person. Following was our trip: Day 1 Uttarkashi to Naluna by Jeep and started the trek to Syaba village. Day 2 Trekked from Syaba to Balak Bugiyal. Day 3 Trekked to Budhakedar. Day 4 Travel to Guptkashi baya tilwara. Day 5 Trekked to Kedarnath. Day 6 Trekked Kedarnath to sonprayag and travel to Guptkashi

Rajesh was a great guide. Helpful, honest and confident of what he knows and what not. Doditaal trek wouldn't have been the same experience had I gone there alone. I would like to use his services again in the future. I wish him luck for his life ahead

Rajesh was my guide during my second attempt to summit Stok Kangri in 2015. He looked after me very well, offering me water and food periodically. He is a serious, confident and strong young guide who makes you feel safe and secure even in harsh and difficult conditions.
